balance and ease: yoga and coaching retreat

This 5-days retreat allows you to pause, breathe and open-up in a magnificent peaceful surrounding on the coast of the Atlantic. In a congenial little group, we will enjoy an open-minded atmosphere, practise yoga and curiously explore our bodies and minds in order to rediscover clarity, ease and balance.

why yoga and coaching? 

The practise of yoga fuels movement in our minds, which can be ideally combined with an individual coaching session, to dive deeper into the resolution of inner clouds.

Perhaps you have a specific concern, a decision that needs to be made (that you would rather not want to make). Maybe you feel the need to listen more carefully to yourself, to unfold deeper desires and values, to create clarity. Or perhaps you want your resolutions to come true, for once, and facilitate some change in your life.

As mind and body are deeply interconnected, practising yoga is a tool that enables us to create strength and flexibility in both our bodies and minds. Physically and mentally, it helps to re-align ourselves, to balance opposing forces and to learn to appreciate sometimes unpleasant emotions, all of which is needed when we find ourselves not knowing what we want to do or how to make it happen.

In turn, detecting and resolving patterns in our mind helps to gain more flexibilty and strength in our body too. This flexibility and strength is what makes us feel grounded and see clear-mindedly, while naturally increasing our resilience and wellbeing.

You wake up in a bright double room with shared or private bathroom. We start with an empowering and energizing Vinyasa Yoga session at the rooftop, that allows everyone to go with their own pace, before we enjoy a delicious fresh breakfast together. During the day, there is enough time for relaxation, endless walks on the sea, to spoil yourself with a massage, read, play with the waves (with or without a board underneath your feet), explore the hinterland with a moped, buy fresh argan oil or visit an authentic hamam. At sunset, we frame the day with yoga, a calming and nourishing Yin session, that will serve our muscles and connective tissue, and let the day fade away with a cosy dinner.

The small group size (7 people max.) allows individual and empathetic adjustment of your yoga postures as well as the day structures being flexibly adaptable to the dynamics and needs of the group.

10.30 – 11.30am 60’ Coaching

11.30–6pm Relaxation*

6–7.30pm 90’ Yin Yoga

8pm Dinner

* Time to do nothing and everything, reading, swimming, surfing, exploring the hinterlands, visiting Leghzira Beach . . .

Our approach

Yoga means union and thus understands our body and mind as deeply connected. The practice of yoga combines physical exercise through postures (asanas) with breathing exercises, meditation and a philosophy of life based on love, respect, understanding and compassion.

We consider yoga as a tool to free our body and mind from stiffness of our desk-centred lifestyles, but also our mental routines and patterns of thought. When we step on our mats, we step into a beautiful form of self-dialogue. A dialogue, that allows us to consciously listen to our inner voice and to learn to feel and respect ourselves and our limits of this very present moment. We learn to be patient and committed, change perspectives, creating awareness and acceptance towards our asana but also our lives. Little by little we discover more space in our body and in our mind, regain clarity and ease and grow as a person.

In our yoga sessions Patricia offers different options for different levels. No matter where you are on your path, we are going to support you gently, for you to listen to yourself and create an understanding who you want to be, instead of trying to be someone that you think you should be or you think that others want you to be.

Patricia

Certified Hatha Flow Yoga Teacher (200h)
by the EkhartYoga School

Patricia discovered Yoga when looking into training her unfit body while still using her sharp brain. The practice gave her more than she ever expected and naturally became a certified Yoga Teacher with a deep passion for sharing the power of this practice with others.

Her style is constantly evolving but could largely be defined as a slower pace Vinyasa with focus on strength and mobility, bringing in flexibility from a place of engagement. She is intuitively influenced from other Yoga styles and schools of movement, allowing for a more wholesome, organic way of body exploration beyond straight lines. True to Yogic tradition, all the movement and postural holds are weaved with the breath and self-inquiry for a deep awareness of the self.

She is of Portuguese and Spanish descent and lives in Marrakesh, where she shares her haven of domestic happiness with her long-term Scottish partner, three rescued cats and four tortoises.
